Auto detailing is actually an act of carefully doing processes and operations that maintain the car in its peak possible condition, particularly exterior, rather than only mechanical. Some people also go for car detailing services for the purpose of restoring the original gloss and shine of the surfaces. However, you cannot do this with regular washing. Regular washing will wash away the deep-down dirt that is embedded deep down in the carpets, upholstery, and leather upholstery. In this case, restoring the original shine requires another method. You need to apply a special wax to restore the surface, and then clean it to reveal the gleaming new sparkle. Once you have finished this process, you can wipe off the wax with another soft cloth to avoid leaving any residue that may be hard to remove.
When restoring the exteriors, you may opt to use electrostatic or magnetic car polishing methods. The first thing to do is to prepare the surfaces you want to polish. It is best to use a microfiber cloth dipped into a mild soap to clean the surface. Polish the body sides and the wheel wells with the polishing cloth, and use a separate dry towel to dry the remaining work after polishing. For the interior, you can either opt to use car detailing sprays for the purpose of cleaning as well as polishing. Most detailing sprays are formulated for use on the outside, but some do make good car polish for the inside. If you don’t have a car detailing spray, you can create a paste out of one part water and two parts car polish by using a spray bottle and a small amount of water. This paste, once applied and allowed to dry, will make your buffing and finishing process go much faster.
